Programs
Regenerative agriculture only delivers on its potential when smallholder farmers have the practical support they need to make the transition and the systems to sustain it. Our field programs are built around that reality, combining on-the-ground implementation with partnerships, market linkages, and proven models designed to endure.
Smallholder Farmers Alliance - Haiti

Co-founded in 2010 by Hugh Locke and Haitian agricultural leader Timote Georges, the Smallholder Farmers Alliance (SFA) is our flagship field program applying a social enterprise model to help feed and reforest Haiti, one of the most severely deforested countries on the planet.
The program now includes over 10,000 farmer members transitioning to agroecological and regenerative practices. At the heart of the model is a tree currency system in which farmers plant and tend trees to earn credits redeemable for seed, tools, training, and microcredit — making trees more economically valuable standing than cut for charcoal. Farmers currently grow around one million trees a year across 37 nurseries and 10 branch locations, all functioning in spite of the country's ongoing security crisis.
Regenerative Landscapes Program

Smallholder farmers across the Global South face significant barriers when transitioning to regenerative agriculture — high costs, limited technical support, and lack of access to markets, measurement systems, and finance.
The Regenerative Landscapes Program addresses this by orchestrating the partnerships, systems, and market connections needed to transition smallholder farming into regenerative agriculture and agroforestry models that are profitable, measurable, scalable, and market-linked. Building on proven systems rather than starting from scratch, we provide technical expertise, scientific monitoring, and structured feedback loops that reduce transition costs and risk — while integrating farmers into local, national, and international markets.
Programs are designed from the outset to become self-sustaining, linked to global markets, science, and finance through a replicable model that can be adapted to diverse landscapes worldwide.
